5K Romp

The Chomp and Stomp is kicked off by one of the most popular races in the city of Atlanta! This is our 8th year and we’ve grown by leaps and bounds each year. The fast, flat course is great for first timers or PR’s. Awesome, LONG SLEEVED tee to all participants. And the weather, well we don’t want to jinx ourselves, but the weather gods have been with us. They have granted us cool crisp mornings, perfect for running, and a great way to earn your beer if you are so inclined. Free chili to all race participants at the Chomp and Stomp Chili and bluegrass festival later that day–$5 VALUE and no waiting in line.

There is NO race day registration

This race has sold out two straight years and we expect it to sell out in 2014. Fees for the race are $30 but sign up by August 17 for a $25 early bird special. Pick up registration packets from 6p-9p on Thursday (Oct. 30) and Friday (October 31) at the Cabbagetown Community Center on Estoria Street. Note: There is a daycare operating until 6p, so nobody will be allowed in until 6p. Also, pick up packets from 6:45a on Saturday at Milltown.

Romp Basics:

  • The race begins on November 1st, 8:00am, at the corner of Tennelle and Carroll Street. Just head towards Milltown. It ends on Kirkwood at the top of the park.
  • If you would like to sign up for the race visit http://www.active.com/running/atlanta-ga/romp-and-stomp-5k-2014 .
  • It sold out the last 4 years so don’t wait too long.
